SmallHD, the manufacture of the DP-6 1280×800 monitor has just put together a video that demonstrates what happens when you hit record on an HDSLR when using a field monitor. For those of you that have used monitors with HDSLR’s you know that there is a lot of screen size loss due to your cameras’ 3:2 sensor image being smashed into the 16:9 viewing area. Now apparently SmallHD was not going to stand for this so they took it upon themselves to rectify this issue, and by the looks of things they have done a great job. Check out the video below that demonstrates what I’m talking about and then head on over to www.smallhd.com to read their blog post.
